Garden-dwarf ego

“Nobody likes me“, Trump laments. Ohmyohmy, poor boy. And just because of his character, he says. But that just can’t be true, can it? As he is such a model philanthropic guy who has people of differing opinions be beaten up on Washington’s streets, calls right extremists nice people, insults women, Afro-Americans and migrants, calls people who exercise their right to demonstrate a terrorist mob, and, his greatest, and sometimes it seems his only pleasure, lashes out against, throws dirt at and humiliates everybody in sight (except for those kneeling down in front of His Lowness). Isn’t that the stuff that a “favorite president” is made of? Which he believes he is. But now he has recognized that not as many people as before share this view. And who is to blame? People who refuse to see all the great sides of his character, like evil Chinese and un-American reporters from CNN and the Washington Post and the complete media tribe, and above all the growing number of fascist left-socialist terrorist  anarchists that aim at destroying him, i.e. America.

Poor manikin. I can hardly describe the complete extent of my non-existent sympathy.

A point much more important, however, is the question, what Trump’s bleeding toddler’s heart means for the future. We recently got a first taste of it (https://www.myview-wolfgangmebs.de/incendiary/). We can be pretty sure that he will continue and intensify his baton-strategy and scare-mongering. Not only in American politics did fear so often secure electoral votes. The worse it gets, the better for Trump, the more arguments he will concoct to postpone the November elections (which he is already propagandistically preparing). As he needs a majority in Congress to do so, this is not to be reckoned with – at present; in particular as even some Republicans would not consent to this – at present.

Trump’s tactics of even now sowing doubts about the legitimacy of the election results because of the high and growing number of absentee ballots, unjustified as it may be, might turn out to be much more dangerous. How will Trump and his voters react to a defeat, allegedly brought about by Democrats (aka anarchists, socialists, fascists, destroyers and poisoners of American apple-pies) manipulating election results? In the present context Nancy Pelosi’s question if Trump is going to leave the White House voluntarily does not seem that far-fetched any longer. After all, didn’t Trump answer the question in a Fox News interview if he would accept a Joe Biden victory in his typical, high-handed way?  “I have to see. Look, you – I have to see. No, I’m not going to just say yes.”

And he does not need to.  Nobody expects him to. Him??? Forget it. As long as there is someone who, if necessary, carries him out of the White House. As long as in the future the only one he can humiliate is his caddy. If he finds any. After all, nobody likes him anymore.
